Our goal is to allow for improved quality of care and to allow providers to have more predictable work hours in order to improve job satisfaction and reduce burnout.
The purpose of the Admitting service line is to provide excellent quality care to patients and also to allow current daytime providers to focus on their current patients, prioritize discharges and provide more time for teaching. To do this, a Division of Hospital Medicine attending and advanced practice provider perform daytime admissions for the hospital medicine services (HMS), the hospitalist training track (HTT) service and medical oncology services. In addition, we aim to have more predictable work hours for our providers in order to improve job satisfaction and reduce burnout.
