iTeach Peer Mentoring for Faculty

Academy of Medical Educators

iTeach is a voluntary peer mentorship program and consists of observation of teaching followed by a feedback session.

How it Works

An Academy Member,  who has been trained in observation and feedback techniques, will serve as a mentor, observing a colleague in teaching sessions one or more times, giving feedback afterward. These sessions can be requested by individual faculty members, course and clerkship directors, etc. In this mentee driven process, the mentor will observe and give feedback on lecture sessions, small group teaching, or clinical teaching. This feedback will be privileged and not shared with others.
