Research is an important driver for educational programs in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå. Innovation is also a guiding principle, which positions the education faculty in an optimal position to produce research and scholarship.
To facilitate research productivity, the Department has established a blanket IRB for education research through the Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Multiple Institutional Review Board (COMIRB). The Departmental IRB gives the authority for study approval to the Vice Chair of Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå, which has resulted in a significant decrease in time required for the review and approval process.
