Better Together Physician Coaching (BT)

A evidence-based, rigorously tested national online coaching program for clinicians and trainees to decrease burnout and increase wellbeing so participants thrive in their careers and beyond.

Burnout is a huge problem in the medical community.

While 1:1 professional coaching supports physician wellbeing by increasing resilience and reducing burnout, it relies on either substantial cost to the recipient or a large amount of faculty development and coordination. We created this program to solve that problem, our digital group coaching model impacts thousands of clinicians across the nation for relatively little faculty coach time.

In addition to delivering a meaningful experience, tight-knit sense of community and valuable tools and skills to clinicians and trainees, we are also committed to advancing the scholarship of coaching in academic medicine. We do this through quantitative and qualitative study of Better Together with a talented research team including physicians, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, medical students, statisticians, and others.
