Research

Academic contributions to advance the science and practice of surgery is one of our key missions. Our research programs include the multidisciplinary Trauma Research Center, The Surgical Outcomes and Applied Research (SOAR) Program, the Alcohol Research Program, and a growing Health Services Research Program in partnership with the Adult and Child Center for Health Outcomes Research and Delivery Science Program (ACCORDS). Our Burn Center hosts both a robust basic research lab as well as numerous clinical trials.
