Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) hold advanced degrees and play an integral role in the care of patients. They provide quality and cost-effective care while working collaboratively within the inter-professional team. They may have wide interests or
choose to focus on a specific aspect of care, such as diabetes education or coordination of transplant services. APPs may also perform clinical research, participate in quality improvement projects, mentor and train APP student learners, and lead
initiatives in the health system and community.
