Research:

My studies focus of the contribution of changing tissue microenvironment in lung tumor initiation and progression. The areas I am investigating are aging, smoking, and respiratory viral infections. Specifically, by using mouse models of lung tumor initiation, I hope to uncover how changing immune landscape and decreased stem cell fitness due to aging, smoking, or respiratory viral infections result in cancer occurrence.
